THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  KLEBERG COUNTY IN TEXAS
  NUECES COUNTY IN TEXAS

* UNTIL 445 PM CDT

* AT 144 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED   
  AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM THE CORPUS CHRISTI         
  METROPLOITAN AREA TO JUST NORTH OF KINGSVILLE.  MOVEMENT OF THESE  
  STORMS WAS SOUTH AT 20 MPH.  

OVER 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THE CORPUS CHRISTI METROPOLITAN 
AREA DURING THE PAST HOUR.  ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS    
ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE THROUGH THE AREA DURING THE NEXT 1 TO 2 HOURS.  

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL 
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER 
LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.

HEIGHT AND VEERS TO THE SW IN THE 850-700MB LAYER AND BECOMES WEST
AROUND 400 MB.  360K THETA-E RIDGE EXTENDS NORTHWARD ACROSS THE ERN
FA WITH A THETA-E TROF ACROSS THE WRN FA THIS MORNING.  WSR-88D REF
IMAGERY DISPLAYS THE DEEP CONVECTION LOCATED ACROSS CENTRAL/SOUTH
CENTRAL/SE TEXAS THIS MORNING..CONCENTRATED EAST OF I35 AND
ALONG/NORTH OF I10.  OUTFLOW BOUNDARY CONTINUES TO PUSH SOUTH OF SAT
AND IS ORIENTED ON A SW-NE AXIS EXTENDING FROM NORTH OF THE NW CWA
BORDER TO NEAR HALLETTSVILLE (N OF THE NERN CWA).  EXPECT PORTIONS
OF THE FA EAST OF I37 TO HAVE THE BEST POTENTIAL FOR CONVECTION WITH
THIS FEATURE TODAY..IN PHASE WITH THE THETA-E MAX AND HIGHEST
