.MON AND TUE...
AIRMASS BECOMING MORE STABLE FROM BIL WEST AS FLOW GRADUALLY SHIFTS TO
THE NORTH WITH COOLER AIR MOVING IN BEHIND. THIS LINES UP RATHER WELL
WITH WHAT THE 12Z AVN DEPICTS AT THE 18Z HOUR. COOL FRONT THEN SETTLES
ALONG THE MT/WY BORDER TONIGHT ALLOWING STABLE AIR TO MOVE INTO THE
ENTIRE REGION FOR A BRIEF RESPITE FROM AFTERNOON/EVENING THUNDERSTORMS
ON MONDAY. UNTIL THEN...EXPECT THUNDERSTORMS AGAIN THIS EVENING WITH
DEVELOPMENT OVER THE SW MTNS AND MOVING E/NE INTO INCREASINGLY UNSTABLE
AIRMASS. MAIN CONCERN IS THE BHK AREA WHERE ETA MODEL PLOTS CAPES AROUND
1000 J/KG THROUGH MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AND WILL KEEP MENTION OF SEVERE THERE
WITH SCT POPS. WILL TAPER POPS FROM BIL WEST TO LVM FOR TONIGHT WITH
ISOLD SEVERE POSSIBLE. MOST OF SC/SE MT SHOULD BE DRY AND MILD MON BUT
WILL KEEP MENTION OF ISOLD STUFF OVER MTNS...POSSIBLY TRANSLATING EAST
ONTO THE PLAINS MON EVENING. MIXING FROM 700MB YIELDS HIGHS MON IN THE
MID/UPPER 80S...MID 90S TUE WITH RETURNING SOUTH FLOW/UNSTABLE AIRMASS
AND CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. SPRINGER

.WED...THU...FRI...SAT...SUN...
EXTENDED MODELS AND 12Z AVN OUT TO 120HR ALL IN GOOD AGREEMENT.
LONGWAVE TROUGH TO REMAIN OFF WEST COAST WITH POSITIVELY TILTED
LONGWAVE RIDGE INLAND. MEAN RIDGE AXIS EXTENDS FROM EASTERN NORTH
DAKOTA TO 4 CORNERS IN SOUTHWEST USA THROUGH PERIOD. H5 HEIGHTS OVER
SOUTHERN MONTANA TO REMAIN AT 588 DM OR HIGHER THROUGH PERIOD.
FORECAST AREA WILL BE ALONG PERIPHERY OF RIDGE ALLOWING SOUTHWEST FLOW
ALOFT MOST OF PERIOD...ALLOWING PERIODIC SHORTWAVE ACTIVITY. TIMING OF
SYSTEMS TOUGH THAT FAR OUT. WILL MENTION HOT TEMPS ALONG WITH A CHANCE
OF AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS THOUGH THE PERIOD. FMR/MEX
