.MON AND TUE...
TWO PROBLEM AREAS FOR TONIGHT. FIRST (EARLIER) IN THE EAST...GOOD
SOUTHEAST FLOW HAS KEPT DEWPOINTS IN LOWER TO MID 50S IN EASTERN ZONES
AHEAD OF WEAK SURFACE TROUGH AS LOW DEEPENS OVER WYOMING. FAIR SHEAR
WITH EASTERLY LOW LEVEL FLOW AND MID LEVEL WESTERLY WINDS INCREASING TO
50 KNOTS. SHOULD BE A CHANCE OF SEVERE EARLY WITH ACTIVITY SHIFTING
FURTHER EAST THIS EVENING. IN THE WEST...WATER VAPOR SHOWING VERY STRONG
WAVE MOVING ONTO PACIFIC NORTHWEST COAST. NEITHER MODEL SEEMS TO BE
STRONG ENOUGH WITH IT. JET ASSOCIATED WITH IT NOSES INTO SOUTHWEST
MONTANA BY 06Z WITH GOOD DIVERGENCE PROGGED BY ETA/AVN OVER WESTERN
ZONES BY 06Z. AVN THEN MOVES STRONG AREA OF 700 MB OMEGA ACROSS ENTIRE
CWA TONIGHT...LOOKING LIKE AN MCC SIGNATURE. ETA MUCH WEAKER WITH
THIS ENERGY AS IT MOVES INTO EASTERN MONTANA LATER TONIGHT. WILL LEAN TO
STRONGER AVN...AND GO WITH LIKELY POPS ACROSS CWA TONIGHT.

MONDAY...WEAK TROUGHING GETS CARVED OUT OVER AREA...WITH ANOTHER WAVE
DROPPING INTO NORTHEAST MONTANA. SURFACE HIGH SETTLES INTO AREA. SOME
INSTABILITY AROUND...CYCLONIC FLOW AND LOW CONVECTIVE TEMPS WILL KEEP
SHOWERS GOING. WILL ALSO BE COOLER.

TUESDAY...MORE SHORTWAVE ENERGY DROPS INTO WEAK TROUGHING OVER
MONTANA...ONE WHICH PUSHES ACROSS SOUTHERN MONTANA. ALTHOUGH ATMOSPHERE
MORE STABLE...WILL COVER WITH ISOLATED POPS. RASCH

.WED...THU...FRI...SAT...SUN...

SHOWERS WILL LINGER ACROSS SOUTHEAST MONTANA TUESDAY NIGHT AND
WEDNESDAY AS A SHORTWAVE IN NORTHWEST FLOW AFFECTS THAT AREA. AFTER
THAT...A STRONG UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WILL BUILD OVER MONTANA...BRINGING
HOT AND DRY WEATHER TO THE AREA THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. THE RIDGE AXIS
WILL MOVE INTO EASTERN MONTANA SATURDAY AND INTO THE DAKOTAS SUNDAY...
ALLOWING THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA WEST OF THE AXIS.
