THUNDERSTORMS.

MONDAY...UPPER LOW MOVES ONTO PACIFIC NORTHWEST COAST. SURFACE LOW
DEVELOPS IN RESPONSE OVER SOUTHWEST MONTANA..WITH SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST
LOW LEVEL FLOW OVER EASTERN MONTANA. POSSIBILITY OF A WAVE IN SOUTHWEST
FLOW INTERACTING WITH THE SURFACE LOW FOR SCATTERED POPS. MOISTURE
NOT AS MOIST AS LAST FEW DAYS WITH SUBTROPICAL MOISTURE GETTING SHUNTED
TO THE EAST.

TUESDAY...MID LEVEL FLOW BECOMES MORE CONFLUENT AS UPPER LOW MOVES
CLOSER TO AREA. THICKNESS DON'T DROP TOO MUCH...BUT SHOULD BE SLIGHTLY
COOLER. SURFACE TROUGH EDGES TO THE EAST FOR CONTINUED CHANCE OF
THUNDERSTORMS...BUT NOT AS GOOD AS MAIN ENERGY CONTINUES TO SHIFT TO
THE EAST INTO THE PLAINS.

UPPER LOW SLOWLY LUMBERS ACROSS THE SOUTHERN CANADA THROUGH THURSDAY.
EXTENDED MODELS PRETTY CONSISTENT ON THIS WILL SOME SMALL DIFFERENCES IN
TIMING. OVERALL TREND OF SOUTHWEST FLOW CONTINUING DAYS 3-5 LOOKS GOOD.
THE UPPER TROUGH PUSHES EAST ON SATURDAY AS ANOTHER UPPER LOW FORMS OFF
THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST COAST. THE ECMWF IN WEAKER AND FARTHER EAST WITH
THIS LOW. THE MRF BUILDS A SMALL SCALE RIDGE OVER FORECAST AREA IN
RESPONSE TO UPPER LOW FORMING. THIS RIDGE TO HOLD IN PLACE OVER THE
WEEKEND. WILL KEEP CONVECTION IN THROUGH FRIDAY AND GO MAINLY DRY OVER
THE WEEKEND. HUMPHREY
