THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WILLACY COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS
  CAMERON COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS

* UNTIL 545 PM CST

* AT 442 PM CST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED TWO TO THREE INCH HOURLY
  RAINFALL RATES IN CAMERON AND WILLACY COUNTIES. OBSERVATIONS AT THE
  BROWNSVILLE AIRPORT REPORTED ALMOST AN INCH OF RAIN DURING THE
  LAST HOUR.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH 
  FLOODING INCLUDE...RAYMONDVILLE...AND BROWNSVILLE.

ALLOWED TO EXPIRE AT 545 PM...

AT 530 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR IN BROWNSVILLE
INDICATED HEAVY RAINS MOVING ALONG A SLOWLY MOVING LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS
OUT OF WILLACY AND CAMERON COUNTIES...OVER SOUTH PADRE ISLAND AND
OFFSHORE. ONE HOUR RAIN RATES WERE ABOUT ONE INCH. THESE STORMS
WILL CONTINUE MOVING SLOWLY EAST THIS EVENING AS OUTFLOW CONTINUES TO
REGENERATE CONVECTION. DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS WILL
ACCOMPANY THE THUNDERSTORMS OFFSHORE. STRONG WINDS COULD BE OF
PARTICULAR CONCERN TO INTERESTS ON SOUTH PADRE ISLAND.
