THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  BROOKS COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS

* UNTIL 200 AM CDT

* AT 1100 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM
  FALFURRIAS TO 31 MILES SOUTH OF FALFURRIAS...MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.
  DOPPLER RADAR IN BROWNSVILLE ESTIMATED THAT 4 TO 6 INCHES OF RAIN  
  HAVE FALLEN OVER MAINLY THE CENTRAL AND WESTERN SECTIONS OF BROOKS 
  SINCE 8 PM THIS EVENING.     

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH       
  FLOODING INCLUDE...FALFURRIAS AND ENCINO IN ADDITION TO THE RURAL  
  AREAS OF BROOKS COUNTY.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL 
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER 
LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.
