AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBUQUERQUE NM 345 PM MDT FRI SEP 14 2001 DRIER AMS CONTINUES TO WORK ITS WAY INTO NORTHERN NM. DON/T EXPECT THERE WILL BE MUCH IN THE WAY OF PCPN FAR EASTCENTRAL TONIGHT UNLESS SOMETHING MOVING OFF THE MOUNTAINS MAKES IT OUT THERE THIS EVENING. DRYING TREND CONTINUES OVER NORTH SATURDAY. MODELS SUGGEST THERE MAY BE SOME UPSLOPE NE NM SATURDAY BUT BEST SE CO AND BELIEVE SLIGHT RISK OUTLOOKED NE CORNER FOR THAT REASON. IN THE LONGER TERM UPPER RIDGE BECOMES SUPPRESSED AS NWLYS ESTABLISH THEMSELVES OVER CENTRAL ROCKIES. SHORTWAVE TO GLIDE THROUGH CO TUESDAY WITH SOME BREEZES NORTH POSSIBLE.
