EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 215 PM UNTIL 800
PM EDT.

HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70
MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 75 STATUTE MILES
EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF NEW YORK CITY

DISCUSSION...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ARE DEVELOPING ALONG/AHEAD OF A
COLD FRONT MOVING TOWARD THE AREA.  AIR MASS HAS BECOME MODERATELY
UNSTABLE WITH SBCAPE TO 3000 J/KG.  VAD WINDS SHOW 30-40 KT WSWLY
FLOW IN THE MID LEVELS INDICATING SUFFICIENT SHEAR FOR A FEW SEVERE
STORMS WITH DAMAGING WIND AND HAIL TO DEVELOP.

ADDITIONAL WATCHES...ANOTHER WATCH WILL BE ISSUED FOR PARTS OF SERN
NH AND ME SHORTLY.

AVIATION...A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL SURFACE AND ALOFT
