SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

   CENTRAL AND EASTERN OKLAHOMA                           

EFFECTIVE THIS THURSDAY MORNING FROM 700 AM UNTIL NOON CST.

HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70
MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 75 STATUTE MILES
NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF OKLAHOMA
CITY OKLAHOMA TO 40 MILES NORTH OF PAGE OKLAHOMA.

TSTMS WRN OK WITH APPROACH OF UPPER SPEED MAX  FROM W TX NOTED ON
WV IMAGERY.  STORMS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO INTENSIFY AS LOW LEVEL
FLOW INCREASES WITH DEVELOPING SURFACE LOW LEE OF ROCKIES.  PRIMARY
THREAT WILL BE LARGE HAIL HOWEVER BRIEF DAMAGING WIND GUST COULD
PENETRATE COLD SURFACE LAYER IN STRONGEST STORMS.
