THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN PHELPS COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI

* UNTIL 1100 PM CDT

* AT 752 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL NEAR ROLLA. THE
  THUNDERSTORMS WERE NEARLY STATIONARY. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THREE 
  TO FOUR INCHES OF RAINFALL ACROSS SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF ROLLA WITHIN
  THE PAST HOUR.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH
  FLOODING TO OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT MAY EXPERIENCE FLASH
  FLOODING INCLUDE...ROLLA...DOOLITTLE...NEWBURG AND ST. JAMES.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN
THE WARNED AREA.
