THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NASHVILLE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  LAWRENCE COUNTY IN TENNESSEE
  THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG

* UNTIL 12 AM CDT

* AT 722 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A NARROW
BAND OF VERY HEAVY RAIN THAT STRETCHED FROM LAWRENCEBURG TO FALL
RIVER TO ST. JOSEPH AND BACK INTO NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI.  THE STORMS
ARE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS SINCE 530 PM OF OVER 1 INCH HAVE OCCURRED FROM
LORETTO TO FIVE POINTS.  LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
REPORTS SOME STANDING WATER IN LAWRENCEBURG AS WELL AS SOME OF THE
LOW WATER BRIDGE CROSSINGS ACROSS SOUTHERN LAWRENCE COUNTY.  ANOTHER
1 TO ONE AND ONE HALF INCHES IS EXPECTED DURING THE EVENING HOURS.  THIS
WILL LEAD TO SOME FLASH FLOODING.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS SWIFTLY FLOWING WATERS OR WATERS OF UNKNOWN
DEPTH BY FOOT OR BY AUTOMOBILE. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS, ABANDON IT
IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK HI+GHER GROUND.
