EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MELBOURNE FL 155 PM EDT SAT JUL 29 2000 THIS AFTERNOON...VIS SATELLITE IMAGES SHOW EARLY SEA BREEZE ALONG ENTIRE FORECAST AREA COAST. I AM SOMEWHAT SURPRISED THAT IT HAS NOT MOVE FARTHER INLAND NORTH OF THE CAPE. BEST CONVECTION IS OCCURRING IN THE DEEPER MOISTURE TO THE SOUTH. GOOD INTERACTIONS WITH THE SEA AND LAKE BREEZES IN THE AREA. EXPECT CONVECTION TO INCREASE WITH STRONGEST STORMS IN THE INTERIOR BY LATE AFTERNOON AND INTO THE EVENING. TONIGHT AND SUNDAY... WEAK SURFACE TROUGH WILL GIVE WAY TO THE ATLANTIC RIDGE AXIS WITH MOSTLY SOUTHEAST SURFACE FLOW EXCEPT FOR SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST FLOW OVER VOLUSIA COUNTIES.
