* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHERN ALBEMARLE COUNTY IN CENTRAL VIRGINIA

* UNTIL 115 AM EDT

* AT 1105 PM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER SOUTHERN ALBEMARLE
  COUNTY...MOVING SLOWLY TO THE SOUTHEAST.

* THE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WILL AFFECT...
  COVESVILLE
  ALBERENE
  ESMONT

WEATHER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT OVER 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER
PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN ALBEMARLE COUNTY ALONG THE SOUTH FORK AND NORTH
FORK OF THE HARDWARE RIVER. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL RESULT IN FLASH
FLOODING.

TONIGHT AND DROPPED TEMPS A TAD IN THOSE ZONES. DEW POINTS ARE STILL
HIGH ACRS SRN MD AND HAZE AND FOG CAN BE EXPECTED TONIGHT. SHWRS AND
TSTMS HAVE WEAKENED BUT ARE CONTG ACROSS NELSON...ALBEMARLE AND
AUGUSTA COUNTIES WHERE DEW POINTS REMAIN HIGH. COMBO OF FNTL
BNDRY...MTNS AND HI DEW POINTS HAVE LEAD TO RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN SE
AUGUSTA COUNTY OF AROUND 3.5 INCHES. CONCERNED ABOUT RAPID RISES ON
THE SOUTH RIVER AND CHRISTENS CREEK WHICH RUNS INTO THE MIDDLE
RIVER. CLOSELY MONITORING THE SOUTH RIVER FOR THE POSSIBLE NEED TO
ISSUE A RIVER FLOOD WARNING FOR WAYNESBORO. IF RAINS CONTINUE OVER
THE SOUTH RIVER BASIN...WAYNESBORO COULD SEE THE RIVER NEAR BANKFULL
OR AT FLOOD STAGE TOWARD SUNRISE. WE ARE MONITORING THIS SITUATION
