THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  RANKIN COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
  HINDS COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
  MADISON COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI

* UNTIL 1000 PM CST

* AT 821 PM CST...WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A LARGE AREA OF 
HEAVY RAIN OVER CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI. REPORTS FROM LAW ENFORCEMENT 
AND CIVIL DEFENSE OFFICIALS INDICATE THAT NUMEROUS ROADWAYS IN THE 
JACKSON METROPOLITAN AREA WERE FLOODED. WATER WAS ALSO BEGINNING TO 
APPROACH SOME HOMES AND BUSINESSES...AND STREAMS WERE APPROACHING 
BANKFUL. 

HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MUCH OF THE EVENING...AGGRAVATING THE 
FLOODING PROBLEMS AND PUSHING SOME STREAMS AND CREEKS OUT OF THEIR 
BANKS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH AREAS WHERE kWATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY!
