SURPRISING AMOUNT OF TSTM COVERAGE THIS AFTN INDICATES MODELS WERE
OFF ON RATE OF DRYING ADVERTISED IN THE 00Z RUN. UPDATED ZONES
AROUND 1 PM TO UP POPS THESE REGIONS. WITH NO CAP AND HIGH CAPE
TSTMS HAVE TRIGGERED BEHIND SEVERAL OUTFLOWS FROM LAST NIGHT'S STORMS
A AND FEW OF THESE HAVE HAD VERY HIGH VIL DENSITY AND DUMPED A
COUPLE OF INCHES OF RAIN IN A FEW LOCATIONS. CURRENT ACTIVITY NOT
APT TO DIE DOWN UNTIL A COUPLE OF HOURS AFTER SUNSET, SO WILL KEEP
SLIGHT CHANCE OF EVENING POPS ALL ZONES IN FIRST PERIOD.

THE NEXT THING TO CONSIDER IS HOW DEEP MOISTURE WILL BE WHEN FRONT
ARRIVES TOMORROW. ALTHOUGH FLOW WILL SHIFT NORTHEAST-NORTH BEFORE
THE FRONT ARRIVES... STILL BELIEVE THE THERMAL BOUNDARY MAY BE
SUFFICIENT TO KICK OFF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE FRONT...
ESPECIALLY CLOSER TO THE COAST. WILL HENCE RETAIN 30 PCT CHANCE FOR
TIER OF INLAND COUNTIES AND ALONG THE COASTAL TIER FOR FRIDAY.
AFTER THAT... CLEARING & COOLING TREND SHOULD SET UP A NICE WEEKEND.

TRACK OF T.D.11 IN MODELS IS VASTLY DIFFERENT NOT ONLY IN DIFFERENT
MODELS BUT EVEN FROM RUN TO RUN (I.E. 84 HR POSITION OF 00Z MRF
COMPARED TO 72 HR AVN.) EARLIER MRF PREFERRED TO BRING PULL STORM
NORTHWARD INTO LONGWAVE TROUGH OVER NE U.S. WHILE CURRENT RUN OF AVN
PREFERS MORE NORTHWESTERLY TRACK... AS DID NHC FOLKS AT TIME OF 11
AM DISCUSSION. BEYOND SUNDAY... THE CURRENT THINKING IS THAT THIS
STORM WILL TAKE WEST-NORTHWEST TRACK AND THEN HEAD WESTWARD... WITH
TRACK DRIVEN BY UPPER LEVEL EASTERLIES SOUTH OF THE SUBTROPICAL
RIDGE AXIS... BUT THIS IS YET TO BE SEEN. HOPEFULLY STORM WILL TAKE
ONE OF THESE TWO TRACKS SO THAT IN EXTENDED FORECAST WILL BE CAN
ANTICIPATE A CONTINUANCE OF DRY LATE SUMMER WEATHER... THOUGH THE
LATTER TRACK FOR T.D. MAY BRING LONG FETCH TO EAST/NORTHEAST FLOW
OVER NRN GULF... POSSIBLY BRINGING TIDES UP ABOVE NORMAL LEVELS.
