* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WALKER COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS
  HOUSTON COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS
  BURLESON COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS
  MADISON COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS
  GRIMES COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS
  BRAZOS COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS

* AT 954 PM CST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED MODERATE TO OCCASIONAL
HEAVY RAINFALL TRAINING SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST ACROSS THE WARNED
COUNTIES. RAINFALL RATES ARE AVERAGING 1/2 TO 1 INCH PER HOUR WITH 2
INCH AMOUNTS IN THE HEAVIER DOWNPOURS. MOST OF THESE COUNTIES ARE
REPORTING STREET FLOODING AT THIS TIME. AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES
OF RAINFALL DURING THIS PERIOD WILL FURTHER AGGRAVATE THIS FLOODING
SITUATION AS THE GROUND IS SATURATED. BELOW ARE SOME REPORTS RECEIVED FROM
AREA SHERIFF DEPARTMENTS:

BURLESON...MAINLY RURAL COUNTY ROADS FLOODED. HIGHWAY 36 NEAR
SOMERVILLE HAS HIGH WATER.

WALKER...I-45 FEEDER NEAR BEDIAS CREEK CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER.
STREET FLOODING IN HUNTSVILLE. FM2989 CLOSED.

HOUSTON...FM357 NEAR KENNARD HAS HIGH WATER.

BRAZOS...STREET FLOODING COUNTYWIDE.

DO NOT CROSS ANY LOCATION WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD!

PLEASE REPORT FLOODING TO THE COUNTY SHERIFF...LOCAL POLICE...OR
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY. THEY WILL RELAY YOUR REPORT TO THE

FOR THE UPDATE. MAY DECIDE TO NOTCH POPS UP A TAD ACROSS COASTAL
COUNTIES AT PRESS TIME IF COVERAGE CONTINUES TO EXPAND. PERSISTENT
AREA OF RAINFALL CONTINUES TO TRAIN ACROSS NRN CO'S THIS EVENING.
HEAVIEST RAIN APPEARS TO BE FALLING ALONG THE BOUNDARY EXTENDING
FROM ROUGHLY COLUMBUS TO LIVINGSTON. LATEST IR IMAGES SHOW COOLING
TOPS TO OUR WSW WHICH IS NOT A PARTICULARLY GOOD SIGN. LOOKS LIKE
STEADY RAIN WILL CONTINUE THRU THE NIGHT AND SATURDAY...ESPECIALLY
NRN 2/3...WITH PLENTIFUL PACIFIC MOISTURE BEING SQUEEZED BETWEEN THE
WRN TROF AND THE RIDGE PARKED OVER THE YUCATAN/BAY OF CAMPECHE. SE
FLOW OFF THE GULF ALSO PROVIDING ITS SHARE OF MOISTURE. RAINFALL
RATES NOT AS IMPRESSIVE AS LAST NIGHT...BUT THE PRECIP IS FALLING
ACROSS ALREADY SATURATED GROUNDS. NO RIVER PROBLEMS IN OUR CWA ATTM
BUT WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR.
