THE SOUTHERN EXTENT OF AN UPPER TROF WILL CONTINUE TO BRUSH THE
REGION AS IT PROGRESSIVELY MOVES EASTWARD ACROSS THE EASTERN PART OF
THE COUNTRY. WEAK SHORT WAVES ROTATING THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF THE
TROF WILL AFFECT THE CWA LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING...LATE
TONIGHT AND THEN AGAIN MIDDAY ON THURSDAY. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL ACCOMPANY THE SHORT WAVES AS THEY MOVE ACROSS THE
AREA...WITH THE BEST COVERAGE LATE IN THE DAY WHEN INSTABILITY IS
GREATEST. A LITTLE "Q" FORCING IN THE RIGHT ENTRANCE REGION TO THE
UPPER JET AND WEAK UPPER DIVERGENCE WILL ALSO SUPPORT SOME
CONVECTION THROUGH THURSDAY.

HIGH PRESSURE AND A LITTLE DRIER AIR IN THE MID AND UPPER LEVELS
