AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG SC 230 PM EDT THU JUN 15 2000 RADAR SHOWS CELLS BLOSSOMING OVER UPPER SAVANNAH RIVER AREA WHERE LAPS CAPES ARE RUNNING 3000 J/KG WITH CONVERGENCE NEAR A SFC TROUGH. THE LATEST MESO ETA RUN BACKS OFF CONSIDERABLY ON MESO LOW DEVELOPMENT NEAR THE UPSTATE THIS EVENING...BUT DOES MAINTAIN A SIGNIFICANT SFC TROF ALONG WITH DEEPENING MOISTURE. THE ETA AND AVN ALSO KEEP FORCING OVER THE AREA ASSOC WITH UPPER DIVERGENCE AND WEAK VORT SKIRTING NORTHWARD AROUND THE HIGH FROM THE GULF.
