  THUNDERSTORM 15 MILES NORTHWEST OF MARSHALL...OR ABOUT 4 MILES WEST
  OF ALLENSTAND...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH.

DO LITTLE TO DRY OUT THE PERSISTENT MOISTURE AT 850 MB AND BELOW
ACROSS THE WESTERN CAROLINAS AND NORTHEAST GEORGIA. SURFACE BOUNDARY
HAS PUSHED INTO NC IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN PARTS BUT CONTINUES TO
MAKE LITTLE PROGRESS NEARER THE MOUNTAINS. RESIDUAL EVENING POPS
SHOULD ONLY BE NEEDED FARTHER SOUTHWEST...NEARER THE 850 MB THETA E
RIDGE AND DOWNSTREAM FROM ONGOING CONVECTION IN ERN TN.

THE ETA MODEL IS THE MOST AGGRESSIVE AT SENDING EAST TO SOUTHEAST
WEAK UPSLOPE FLOW BACK AGAINST THE SRN APPALACHIANS AS THE SFC HIGH
BUILDS DOWN INTO THE GREAT LAKES THROUGH THE PERIOD. ALL
MODELS...HOWEVER...KEEP SOMETHING OF A MOISTURE POOL OVER THE AREA
WITH THE BEST MOISTURE AND LIFT COMBINATION ALONG THE SRN MTN
EASTERN ESCARPMENT FROM LATE FRI THROUGH SATURDAY. ONLY THE ETA
SUGGESTS AN INVERTED TROUGH UP THE SRN MTNS WITH WEAK ISENTROPIC
UPGLIDE THROUGH THE MOISTURE. WILL THUS INTRODUCE 30 POPS FROM LATE
FRI THROUGH SAT ACROSS FOOTHILL AND MOUNTAIN ZONES AND RELEGATE
PIEDMONT TO A SILENT 20 POP.
