UNION COUNTY IN UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA * UNTIL 430 PM EDT * AT 140 PM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED VERY HEAVY RAIN OCCURRING OVER UNION COUNTY AND MORE RAIN WAS MOVING INTO THE COUNTY FROM THE SOUTHWEST. STREET FLOODING WAS REPORTED BY A SPOTTER IN THE TOWN OF UNION. THE HEAVIEST RAIN EXTENDED FROM NEAR WEST SPRINGS TO A POINT ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTH OF UNION. THE RAIN WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 25 MPH. PEOPLE IN UNION COUNTY SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RAPIDLY RISING CREEKS AND STREAMS. WATER LEVELS WILL RISE QUICKLY IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.
