HEAT BLAST ON TUESDAY...

WV IMAGERY AND WIND PROFILERS THIS AFTERNOON CLEARLY SHOW A POTENT
VORT MAX ENTERING NEBRASKA FROM NE CO WHERE SOME CONVECTION HAS
ALREADY FIRED. OTHER VORT MAXES ALSO NOTED BEING EJECTED INTO THE
HIGH PLAINS FROM THE UPPER LEVEL LOW OVER THE PAC NW. MEANWHILE
UPPER LEVEL HIGH OVER THE SRN STATES AND THE AFOREMENTIONED PAC NW
LOW CONTINUE TO WORK TOGETHER TO STREAM AMPLE SUB-TROPICAL MOISTURE
INTO THE CENTRAL STATES. AT THE SFC...RATHER COMPLICATED/UNORGANIZED
PATTERN WITH A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE SPRAWLED OUT ACROSS THE
WESTERN HIGH PLAINS. A FEW BOUNDARIES THOUGH WERE DETECTED THOUGH.
ONE WARM FRONT LAID ACROSS CENTRAL SD INTO NE NEB. TEMPS BEHIND THE
FRONT WERE WELL INTO THE 90S WHILE COOLER 70S PREVAILED AHEAD OF
THE FRONT. ALSO NOTEWORTHY WAS A COUPLE OF SFC LOW PRESSURE TROFS
LAID OUT ACROSS KS.

TONIGHT...APPROACHING VORT MAX ROLLING THROUGH DECENT LAYER DPVA
SHOULD HELP DESTABILIZE THE ATMOSPHERE AND PRODUCE SOME SYNOPTIC
SCALE LIFT. TOTAL-TOTALS AS WELL AS K-INDICES SUGGEST HIGHER POPS FOR
THE CWA. BUT AT THIS POINT WITH NO REAL FOCUS FOR STORMS WILL
BROADBRUSH AND COVER WITH SLIGHT POPS OVER THE ENTIRE CWA. ALSO
CAN'T AT THIS POINT RULE OUT ANY FOG AFTER MIDNIGHT. THE MESOETA
ADVCTS IN HEALTHY BNDRY LAYER MOISTURE WITH A SOUTHEASTERLY
COMPONENT.

LABOR DAY...SHOULD BE A PCPN FREE HOLIDAY FOR ONCE...BUT HEFTY
MOISTURE ABOVE 700MB...AS PER TIME SECTIONS...SHOULD HELP RESTRICT
SUNSHINE WITH MID/HIGH LEVEL CLOUDS PREVAILING. STILL THOUGH...STRONG
SOUTHERLY WAA OVER THE PLAINS SHOULD HELP CATAPULT HIGHS INTO THE 90S
EASILY.

MONDAY NIGHT...NOT MUCH CHANGE IN THE WEATHER PATTERN OVERNIGHT AS
HIGH PRESSURE REMAINS ANCHORED OVER THE PLAINS AND KEEPS THE PACIFIC
COAST TROF AT BAY. STILL THOUGH...STRONG WAA PERSISTS INTO THE CWA.
FWC DOESN'T LOOK TOO UNREASONABLE AND WILL FOLLOW.

TUESDAY...HOT TEMPS TO ONCE AGAIN GRACE US WITH ITS PRESENCE. AT
THIS POINT...TOTALLY REJECT THE FWC AND FAN NUMBERS. WAY TOO COOL.
THE ETA SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY MODEL WITH A REASONABLE GRASP ON THE
UPCOMING WARMUP. THE FWC AND FAN APPARENTLY ARE LEANING HEAVILY
TOWARDS CLIMATOLOGY FOR HIGHS EVEN THOUGH WE ARE SET UP IN A STRONG
WAA PATTERN. ETA 850MB TEMPS SUGGEST HIGHS SHOULD REACH THE UPPER 90S
IN MOST LOCATION WITH A FEW 100S FURTHER SOUTH. THIS LOOKS MUCH
MORE REALISTIC AND WILL FOLLOW.
