THUNDERSTORM CHANCES ARE THE FOCUS AGAIN THIS CYCLE AS UPPER FLOW
TRANSITIONS FROM WLY TO NWLY BUT TROPICAL MOISTURE REMAINS TRAPPED
IN RIDGE. ALSO MODELS DO NOT HAVE A VERY GOOD TRACK RECORD WITH THE
WEAK WAVES ANALYZED THIS MORNING TOPPING UPPER RIDGE. AGAIN TODAY
THE 12Z IS BACKING OFF OF HIGH PLAINS CONVECTION. QUESTION IS WHETHER
THIS WILL BE A MISTAKE TODAY. CURRENT INDICIATIONS ARE MAYBE NOT.
CAPE ACRS NWRN KS/NERN COLO IN 1500-2000 J/KG RANGE...QUITE A BIT
LOWER THAN YESTERDAY VISIBLE IMAGERY SHOWING MUCH LESS IN WAY OF
CONVECTION OVER NERN COLO AT THIS TIME YESTERDAY. METARS ALSO
SHOWING LESS UPSLOPE FLOW. THIS SAID STILL THINK SOME DEVELOPMENT
POSSIBLE BUT WILL BACK OFF LIKELY POPS IN SWRN ZONES.

MODELS ARE KEYING MORE ON MOST SIGNIFICANT WAVE ANALYZED OVER MT AT
12Z. THIS WOULD FOCUS BULK OF CONVECTION ACRS NRN PLAINS THEN SLIDE
SEWD LATE NIGHT OR EARLY TOMORROW THROUGH IA/ERN NEBR. ACCOMPANYING
COLD FRONT TO ADD LOW LEVEL FOCUS. FRONT CONTINUES SOUTH INTO NCNTL
KS DURING AFTN. WITH BETTER MOISTURE...HIGHER CAPE AND STILL FAIRLY
STEEP LAPSE RATES WILL CONTINUE WITH A DECENT CHC IN SRN ZONES
THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT.

LATER PDS A LITTLE MORE NEBULOUS AS AREAS OF BEST LIFT APPEAR TO
DIMINISH. STILL WITH MOIST NW FLOW WILL CONTINUE WITH SLGT/CHC POPS
THROUGH THE WEEKEND BEFORE RIDGE BUILDS IN A LITTLE BETTER MONDAY.

COOL REGIME TO CONTINUE WITH CLOUDS AND REINFORCING COOL SHOTS. WILL
TREND TO LOW END OR BELOW GUIDANCE.
