THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SIOUX FALLS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  UNION COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA
  DAKOTA COUNTY IN NORTHEAST NEBRASKA

* UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT

* AT 1024 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR 
  INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL WERE
  OCCURRING OVER UNION COUNTY AND DAKOTA COUNTY.  

THUNDERSTORMS EARLIER TONIGHT HAS PRODUCED ONE TO TWO INCHES THROUGH
1030 PM.  MORE THUNDERSTORMS ARE DEVELOPOING OVER NORTHEAST NEBRASKA
AND ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH 1130 PM.  THESE
STORMS WILL PRODUCE AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN AS THESE 
STORMS MOVE NORTH.  

LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTS STREET FLOODING IN PARTS OF DAKOTA COUNTY AS
OF 1030 PM.  THE ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL ONLY WORSEN THE SITUATION.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IMN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
