SYNOPSIS...A MOIST SOUTHERLY FLOW WILL CONTINUE OVER NORTHERN
ARIZONA TODAY. AS A RESULT...ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED. DRIER AIR WILL BEGIN TO MOVE INTO NORTHERN ARIZONA FROM
THE EAST ON SATURDAY WITH ONLY A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN. SUNNY SKIES AND SEASONABLE
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED DURING THE LATER PART OF THE WEEKEND INTO
EARLY NEXT WEEK.

DISCUSSION...UPPER SHORT-WAVE TROUGH CONTINUING TO MOVE SOUTHWARD
ALONG THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COAST THIS MORNING. AT THE SAME TIME...AN
UPPER RIDGE WAS BEGINNING TO AMPLIFY OVER EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE
CWA. AS A RESULT...ANY FAVORABLE UPPER DYNAMICS WILL BE CONFINED TO
THE FAR NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE CWA AND THINK THE BEST CHANCE FOR
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE FROM THE GRAND CANYON NORTH. OTHER LOCATIONS
WILL SEE DIURNAL ACTIVITY BUT FEELING IS THAT AWAY FROM THE MOGOLLON
RIM AND WHITES ACTIVITY WILL BE EXTREMELY ISOLATED. MORNING VISIBLE
IMAGERY SHOWING STABLE WAVE CLOUDS TO THE EAST. WILL UPDATE ZONES TO
REDUCE POPS AND UPDATE CLOUD COVER.
