THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN THE QUAD CITIES HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  JOHNSON COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL IOWA
  WASHINGTON COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST IOWA
  LOUISA COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST IOWA

* UNTIL 420 AM CDT

* AT 118 AM CDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED THUNDERSTORMS       
  PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE LOCATED OVER THE WARNED AREA.       
  THIS WAS CAUSING AREA CREEKS AND STREAMS TO RISE QUICKLY...AND 
  OVERFLOW THEIR BANKS. CREEKS KNOWN TO BE AFFECTED...BUCK CREEK...  
  AND RICHEY CREEK.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING EXCESSIVE RAINFALL OVER
  PORTIONS OF THE WARNED AREA...LEADING TO THE LIKELIHOOD OF FLASH   
  FLOODING.  RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO 2 INCHES HAVE BEEN ESTIMATED 
  IN THIS AREA OVER THE LAST HOUR.  MORE RAINFALL WILL FALL AS THE 
  THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO MOVE OVER THE AREA.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER
LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.
