THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  WESTERN UNION COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL IOWA
  EASTERN ADAMS COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST IOWA

* UNTIL 830 PM

* AT 228 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH FLASH FLOOD PRODUCING RAINS NEAR CROMWELL
  ALONG THE ADAMS AND UNI0N COUNTY LINE. RADAR HAS INDICATED 6
  TO 8 INCHES OF RAIN MAY HAVE FALLEN IN THIS AREA. LAW ENFORCEMENT
  IN UNION COUNTY HAS REPORTED GRAVEL ROADS UNDER WATER AND MANY
  CREEKS OUT OF THEIR BANKS.

* THUNDERSTORMS ARE CONTINUOUSLY REDEVELOPING OVER THE WARNING
  AREA...RESULTING IN EXCESSIVE RAINFALL. RAINFALL RATES WILL AVERAGE
  1 TO 3 INCHES PER HOUR. THIS WILL PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING ALONG
  THE WEST PLATTE RIVER.
