  VAN BUREN COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST IOWA

* UNTIL 800 PM

* AT 204 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH FLASH FLOOD PRODUCING RAINS 4 MILES NORTHWEST OF
  FAIRFIELD...OR ABOUT 21 MILES EAST OF OTTUMWA...MOVING NORTHEAST AT
  35 TO 40 MPH.

* THE GROUND IS ALREADY SATURATED BY RAINFALL IN THE WARNING AREA...
  AND ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL PRODUCE SIGNIFICANT RUNOFF INTO SWOLLEN
  WATERWAYS. THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AREA ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE       
  RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 3 INCHES PER HOUR. HEAVY RAINS OVERNIGHT    
  HAVE SATURATED THE GROUND IN MUCH OF THIS AREA

ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER
LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING.
