ANOTHER IN THE RECENT ENDLESS SERIES OF SHORTWAVES IS TRIGGERING
ANOTHER ROUND OF RW/TRW MOVING ACROSS THE REGION. BACK EDGE OF THE
RAIN IS JUST ENTERING MY FAR NWRN ZONES...AND CONTINUITY SUGGESTS IT
STARTS TO ENTER THE BULK OF THE REST OF MY AREA AFTER 9PM. ONCE
THIS WAVE CLEARS THE AREA...THE BIGGER QUESTION IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN
WEDNESDAY?

MASS FIELDS FROM THE ETA MODELS ARE UNIMPRESSIVE BUT DO MANAGE TO
CREATE SOME SORT OF SFC BOUNDARY/TROF WHICH THEY PASS THRU THE
REGION DURG THE AFTERNOON. MAIN THING GOING FOR THE SYSTEM IS VERY
STRONG WIND FIELDS ALOFT. UPPER TROF IS KEPT NON-DISTINCT AND MODELS
USE THIS LACK OF FOCUS TO MANAGE PALTRY QPF.

AVN IS EVEN MORE OF A PUZZLE. WHERE ETA MODELS SHOW AT LEAST A TROF
OVER THE AREA MID DAY...AVN HAS A SFC HIGH NGM IS MORE ALONG THE LINES
OF THE AVN AND SUGGESTS THE MAIN SFC FEATURE WILL HANG BACK WELL TO
OUR WEST DURG THE DAY...NOT MOVING INTO THE REGION UNTIL AFTER MAX
HEATING. POSSIBLY BIGGEST SIGNAL OF A POSSIBLE NON EVENT IS ALL
MODELS BACKING OFF THE LOW LEVEL JET. YESTERDAY...MODEL GUIDANCE WAS
USING THE STRONG JET EXIT REGION TO CHARGE UP THE LOWER BRANCH OF
THE THERMALLY INDIRECT CELL OF THE JET...MAKING A 40+ SWLY LLJ.
WHILE MID/UPPER LEVEL WINDS REMAIN STRONG...NEWER RUNS HAVE
SIGNIFICANTLY BACKED OFF THIS INTENSIFICATION OF THE LOW LEVEL JET.
STILL...SPC HAS US IN A MDT OUTLOOK AND WITH THE WINDS ALOFT...
ANYTHING THAT FORMS WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL. IM JUST NOT REAL
EXCITED FOR A BIG OUTBREAK GIVEN THE LATEST GUIDANCE. MAYBE 00Z RUN
WILL LOOK BETTER.
