COLUMBIA COUNTY. * UNTIL 815 PM EDT. * AT 507 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL 12 MILES NORTH OF BLOOMSBURG...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH. SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN NORTHERN COLUMBIA COUNTY. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT OVER 1.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THE LAST HOUR. THIS IS THE SAME AREA THAT RECEIVED 4 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN OVER THE LAST 3 DAYS. RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL LIKELY CAUSE FLASH FLOODING ALONG AND NEAR LITTLE FISHING CREEK IN NORTHERN AND CENTRAL COLUMBIA COUNTY.
