HUTCHINSON COUNTY IN THE TEXAS PANHANDLE * UNTIL 700 PM CST * AT 612 PM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 7 MILES EAST OF STINNETT MOVING EAST-NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. * SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED BY THE STORM INCLUDE... TEXAS/OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AMARILLO TX 210 PM CST TUE OCT 31 2000 THE STRONG CLOSED LOW CONTINUES TO MARCH EASTWARD OVER THE FOUR CORNERS REGION TODAY. DEEP MOISTURE CONTINUES TO STREAM INTO THE FA ESPECIALLY IN THE EAST. A SURFACE TROUGH IS DEEPENING IN EASTERN CO AND A STRONG JET OVER THE REGION WITH DEEP LAYER SHEAR IS INCREASING OVER THE PANHANDLES. MODERATE INSTABILITY WILL BE IN PLACE ESPECIALLY OVER EASTERN ZONES. THE FRONT WILL ALSO MOVE ACROSS THE CWA THIS AFTERNOON/EVENING AND WILL ALSO SUBSTANTIALLY AID IN THE LIFT FOR STORMS.
