EASTERN BEAVER COUNTY IN THE OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE * UNTIL 300 AM CDT * AT 243 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM KNOWLES TO 5 MILES WEST OF SLAPOUT MOVING EAST AT 50 MPH. * SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED BY THE STORM INCLUDE... TEXAS/OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AMARILLO TX 153 AM CDT WED JUN 21 2000 SURFACE ANALYSIS SHOWED A LOW PRESSURE CENTER ACROSS NORTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO THIS MORNING WITH A COLD FRONT DRAPED ACROSS THE NORTHCENTRAL AND NORTHWESTERN ZONES. AN OUTFLOW BOUNDARY WAS PUSHING SOUTH INTO THE CENTRAL TEXAS PANHANDLE FROM STRONG TO SEVERE CONVECTION IN THE NORTHCENTRAL AND NORTHEASTERN ZONES. A LOW-LEVEL JET WAS IN PLACE ACROSS WEST AND CENTRAL TEXAS WITH MOISTURE RICH AIR ADVECTING INTO THE AREA. THE OUTFLOW BOUNDARY/COLD FRONT WILL PROBABLY PUSH THROUGH THE SOUTHEASTERN ZONES BY MORNING HOWEVER IT COULD STALL. EXPECT CONVECTION TO SLOWLY DIE OFF ALONG THE FRONT DURING THE MORNING HOURS OR PUSH SOUTHEAST. BY AFTERNOON THE FRONT SHOULD BE POSITIONED NEAREST TO THE SOUTHEAST WITH SLIGHTLY COOLER TEMPERATURES BEHIND THE FRONT. REDEVELOPMENT WILL BE POSSIBLE NEAR THE FRONT ESPECIALLY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON INCREASING DURING THE EVENING.
