THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MONTGOMERY COUNTY IN EASTERN NEW YORK

* UNTIL 330 AM EDT

* AT 925 PM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY
  HEAVY ACROSS MUCH OF THE EASTERN HALF OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY. RAIN
  HEAVY AT TIMES WILL CONTINUE UNTIL AFTER MIDNIGHT. RAINFALL AMOUNTS
  HAVE ALREADY REACHED 1.5 TO 3 INCHES ACROSS MUCH OF THE EASTERN
  HALF OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY...WITH GENERALLY 1 TO 2 INCHES ACROSS
  THE WESTERN HALF OF THE COUNTY. AN ADDITIONAL 0.5 TO 1.5 INCHES
  OF RAIN IS EXPECTED. AS A RESULT OF THE HEAVY RAINFALL...MANY
  STREAMS AND CREEKS WITH RISE TO AT OR ABOVE BANKFULL WITH POSSIBLE
  MUDSLIDES AS WELL.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF F@LOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY
IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
