  NORTHEASTERN PIMA COUNTY IN SOUTHERN ARIZONA
  NORTHWEST TUCSON...CATALINA...ORO VALLEY...AND MARANA.

* UNTIL 600 PM MST

* AT 510 PM MST... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN FROM ORO VALLEY TO THE WEST
  OF MARANA...MOVING NORTHWEST AT 10 MPH.

* NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATES BETWEEN 1 AND 3 INCHES
  OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER NORTHEAST PIMA COUNTY...FROM CATALINA AND
  ORO VALLEY...TO THE WEST OF MARANA.

SYNOPSIS...HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT NEAR THE FOUR CORNERS AREA WILL KEEP
SOUTHERN ARIZONA IN A VERY MOIST MONSOON FLOW. SCATTERED MAINLY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS...SOME WITH HEAVY RAINFALL AND
STRONG WINDS...ARE LIKELY THROUGH MOST OF THE WEEK.

DISCUSSION...SOME STABILITY TO THE ATMOSPHERE TODAY (BOTH A LITTLE
MID LEVEL SUBSIDENCE AND LOWER LEVEL COOLING) DELAYED
DEVELOPMENT...BUT ONLY A COUPLE HOURS. SCATTERED STORMS WITH HEAVY
RAIN WILL ARE NO PROBLEM. THE REALY QUESTION FOR THE NEXT 12 HRS IS
THE POSSIBLITY OF ANOTHER EASTERLY IMPULSE PUSHING IN FROM NORTHERN
MEXICO AND ORGANIZING CONVECTION OVERNIGHT. THE AREA IM LOOKING AT
IS IN CHIHUAHUA...WHICH IS STILL IN THE EARLY STAGES OF GETTING ITS
ACT TOGETHER. STILL UNCERTAIN ABOUT ITS STRENGTH...BUT RIGHT NOW ID
SAY ITS GOING TO BE A BUSY NIGHT. COMBINE THAT WITH A BIT LESS
ACTIVITY THIS AFTERNOON...AND WE SHOULD BE PRIMED AND READY FOR IT
TO COME THROUGH TONIGHT. TIMING WISE...MAYBE STARTING IN COCHISE
COUNTY BY 9 PM AND IN THE TUCSON AREA SOMEWHERE AROUND 10 PM
TO MIDNIGHT. FLASH FLOODING A CONCERN WITH ANYTHING NOW...A WATCH
