EASTERN OKLAHOMA/NORTHWEST ARKANSAS FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 940 PM CDT THU AUG 26 1999 SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH SET TO EXPIRE AT 10 PM. STILL ONGOING CONVECTION ACROSS THE AREA...MAINLY WEST OF HIGHWAY 75 AT THIS TIME AND ALSO FROM ADAIR COUNTY INTO NORTHWEST ARKANSAS ZONES. GENERAL WEAKENING TREND OVER THE PAST HOUR OR SO WITH THE LOSS OF DAYTIME HEATING...BUT ISOLATED STORMS STILL MANAGING TO PULSE TO AROUND SEVERE LIMITS IN THE ACTIVITY TO THE WEST OF HIGHWAY 75. EXPECT THIS WILL BE THE CASE FOR A FEW MORE HOURS OR SO. SATL AND PROFILER NETWORK SHOWING SHORTWAVE DROPPING SOUTHWARD ACROSS EASTERN KANSAS THROUGH THE EVENING. THIS FEATURE WILL DROP ON SOUTH ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THE NIGHT WITH ENOUGH DYNAMICS TO KEEP CHANCE POPS GOING THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE NIGHT. WILL ALSO MAKE SOME TEMP/WIND ADJUSTMENTS FOR THE OVERNIGHT HOURS BASED ON CURRENT TRENDS. NO CHANGES TO THE LATER PERIODS. UPDATED ZONES WILL BE ISSUED AT 10 PM WHEN WATCH EXPIRES. .TUL...
