EASTERN OKLAHOMA/NORTHWEST ARKANSAS FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 830 PM CST MON FEB 15 1999 UPPER SYSTEM MOVING INTO THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES AT THIS TIME. THUNDERSTORMS HAVE RECENTLY DEVELOPED IN THE NORTHEAST TEXAS PANHANDLE DESPITE MEAGER MOISTURE AND EXPECT ACTIVITY TO DEVELOP EAST INTO NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA BY AROUND MIDNIGHT AND INTO NORTHWEST ARKANSAS SHORTLY AFTER MIDNIGHT. COLD FRONT CURRENTLY ALONG A KANSAS CITY TO WICHITA TO GAGE LINE WILL ALSO MOVE SLOWLY SOUTHEAST ACROSS ABOUT THE NORTHWEST HALF OF THE FORECAST AREA LATER TONIGHT AND THROUGH THE REST OF THE AREA TUESDAY MORNING. MAIN CHANGES TO THE FORECAST WILL BE TO UP POPS IN THE NORTH AND LOWER THEM IN THE SOUTH. CURRENT SATELLITE TRENDS EVEN SHOW THAT MOST OF THE CLOUDS WILL MISS SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA BUT EXPECT SOME LOWER CLOUD DEVELOPMENT IN THAT AREA LATER TONIGHT. THE BEST RAIN CHANCES DOWN SOUTH MAY ACTUALLY COME TUESDAY MORNING. TEMPERATURES LOOK PRETTY GOOD. WILL TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT TEMPERATURES IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS AS MAY HAVE TO RAISE THEM JUST A CATEGORY OR SO OVERNIGHT. NO CHANGES TO LATER PERIODS. 12Z RUNS OF THE ECMWF AND UKMET BOTH SUGGEST THE POSSIBILITY OF SNOW HERE LATE THURSDAY INTO EARLY FRIDAY. WILL LET THE MIDNIGHT SHIFT ADDRESS THIS POSSIBILITY. .TUL...
