...UPDATES PLANNED FOR ZONES AND STATE...
MODEL INITIALIZATIONS DO NOT APPEAR TO HAVE GOOD HANDLE ON VORTICITY
CENTERS THAT WERE OVER NW WY AND ALSO SE ID AT 12Z ACCORDING TO WATER
VAPOR IMAGERY. THUS DO NOT HAVE A LOT OF CONFIDENCE IN MODEL SOLUTIONS
FOR 12Z RUNS. SATELLITE IMAGERY INDICATES SE ID VORTICITY CENTER IS
MOVING ENE WHILE TRACK OF NW WY CENTER IS HARDER TO TELL BUT APPEARS TO
BE HEADED NE. LATEST ETA INITIALIZES VORTICITY CENTER OVER SW MT AND
TRACKS IT N. THIS SOLUTION APPEARS UNREASONABLE. NGM HAS A VORTICITY
CENTER OVER SE MT AT 00Z. THIS MAY BE BETTER BUT POSSIBLY TOO FAR E.
CURRENT FORECAST WHICH HAS POPS GENERALLY AT 60 TO 70 PCT LOOKS OK BUT
WILL RAISE THEM SOME OVER CENTRAL AND SRN SECTIONS. WITH UPSLOPE FLOW
WILL REWORD PRECIPITATION AS PERIODS OF RAIN RATHER THAN SHOWERS.
BIGGEST CHANGE WILL BE LOWERING FORECAST MAX TEMPERATURES AROUND 5 TO 10
DEGREES FOR TODAY. WITH COOLER TEMPERATURES NOT VERY EXCITED ABOUT
THREAT OF THUNDERSTORMS BUT CHECK OF FORECAST SOUNDINGS INDICATES THERE
STILL IS A THREAT FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND ^EARLY EVENING. LATEST NGM/ETA
STILL INDICATE WEAK RIDGING DEVELOPING OVER FORECAST AREA SUN FOR
DIMINISHED THREAT OF PRECIPITATION. THIS HANDLED WELL BY CURRENT
FORECAST. BLANK
