THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  NORTHEASTERN BROWARD COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN FLORIDA

* UNTIL 530 PM EDT

* AT 445 PM MIAMI DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR
  TAMARAC IN NORTHEAST BROWARD COUNTY. THE STORM IS MOVING NORTH AT
  10 MPH. THIS STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL TO ONE INCH AND
  VERY HEAVY RAINFALL. SUNRISE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND SEVERAL PUBLIC
  REPORTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED OF SIGHTING A FUNNEL CLOUD IN THE
  SAWGRASS MALL AREA NORTHWARD TO NEAR TAMARAC. THE FUNNEL CLOUD
  HAS NOT TOUCHED DOWN BUT MAY TOUCH DOWN BRIEFLY BEFORE THE STORM
  DISSIPATES. THE STORM WILL MOVE INTO THE MARGATE AND CORAL SPRINGS
  AREA IN THE NEXT 15 MINUTES.



SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...
LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. SEEK SHELTER
