THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIAMI HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHEASTERN BROWARD COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN FLORIDA

* UNTIL 515 PM EDT

* NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATES 3 TO 6 INCHES OF
  RAIN FELL OVER AREAS OF SOUTHEAST BROWARD COUNTY BETWEEN 100
  PM AND 230 PM. THIS AMOUNT OF RAINFALL OVER SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF
  TIME WILL LIKELY RESULT IN FLOODING OF ROADWAYS AND ANY LOW-LYING
  AREAS INCLUDING RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY. AREAS MOST LIKELY AFFECTED
  ARE IN AND AROUND HOLLYWOOD...ESPECIALLY BETWEEN I-95 AND ROUTE 1
  NORTH OF HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD SOUTH OF GRIFFIN ROAD.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS
BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.

STREET FLOODING WILL BE A PROBLEM IN THOSE AREAS THAT RECEIVE HEAVY
RAINS. IF YOU ARE DRIVING...REDUCE YOUR SPEED IN AREAS OF
RESTRICTED VISIBILITIES AND AVOID PONDING WATER IN STREETS...
UNDERPASSES AND OTHER LOW-LYING AREAS WHERE DRAINAGE IS POOR. DO
NOT ALLOW CHNILDREN TO PLAY IN FLOOD WATERS...THEY MAY BE
CONTAMINATED.
