IBERIA PARISH IN SOUTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA * UNTIL 340 PM CDT * AT 135 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT 3 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER NORTHERN IBERIA PARISH DURING THE PAST 3 HOURS. 2 TO 3 INCHES OF ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE PARISH OVER THE NEXT TWO HOURS. * FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS WILL OCCUR. THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO A WESTWARD MOVING UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE. 00Z ETA RUN INITIALIZED FEATURE WELL...MOVING DISTURBANCE QUICKLY TO THE WEST TODAY. 12Z LCH SOUNDING INDICATING MOISTURE HAS INCREASED WITH PWS AROUND 2.0 INCHES. DRY LAYER NOTED HOWEVER FROM SFC TO 900 MB. TEMPERATURE PROFILE WILL HAVE TO BECOME DRY ADIABATIC THROUGH THIS LAYER TO OVERCOME CIN AREA AND INITIATE CONVECTION.
