LAFAYETTE PARISH IN SOUTHWESTERN LOUISIANA * UNTIL 805 PM CDT * AT 655 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT 3 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN ACROSS LAFAYETTE PARISH DURING THE PAST HOUR. 2 TO 3 INCHES OF ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IS EXPECTED ACROSS LAFAYETTE PARISH DURING THE NEXT HOUR. * SIGNIFICANT FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE CITY OF LAFAYETTE AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS. IT HAS SHOWN A WEAKENING TREND OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF HOURS. HOWEVER...IT WILL MAKE ITS WAY INTO THE LCH CWA IN SOME FORM OR ANOTHER. WL LEAVE POPS IN THE CHC CAT THIS EVENING DUE THE MCS.
