BETTER PCPN CHCS WILL BE SHIFTING TWRDS THE IMMED COAST THIS
AFTERNOON WHERE THEY WILL CONTINUE INTO ERLY SUNDAY. ONSHORE FLOW
AND PROXIMITY TO UPPER LOW WILL KEEP LOTS OF CLOUDINESS ACROSS ESTRN
NC THROUGH THE WEEKEND. TEMPERATURES WILL BE CLOSE TO FAN/FWC.
MAIN CONCERNS CONTINUE TO CENTER ON COASTAL FLOOD POTENTIAL. WE
ALREADY HAVE ISSUED A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING FOR THE PAMLICO
SOUND/NEUSE RIVER FLOODING. GALE FORCE WINDS SHOULD CONTINUE INTO
THIS EVENING BEFORE SLOWLY DIMINISHING SUNDAY AS THE COASTAL LOW OFF
GA BEGINS TO MOVE NE. WITH PERSISTENT...LONG FETCH...EVEN OUR SRN
COASTAL WATERS HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING SIG BEACH EROSION WITH WAVE
ENERGY MAINLY PARALLEL TO THE COAST. GIVEN THAT GALE FORCE WINDS
WILL BLOW FOR AT LEAST 2 MORE HIGH TIDES...AND THAT AVN TIDE
DEPARTURES INCREASE TO AROUND 2 FEET FOR THE OUTER BANKS...WILL
ISSUE A COASTAL FLOOD WATCH FOR THE ENTIRE COAST. I AM STARTING TO
GET CONCERNED FOR THE NRN OUTER BANKS FOR TONIGHTS HIGH TIDE AND
ALSO SUNDAY AM AS WAVE ENERGY MORE INTO THE COAST AND WAVE PERIOD
