MECKLENBURG COUNTY IN NORTH CAROLINA * UNTIL 1025 PM EDT * AT 625 PM... NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER MECKLENBURG COUNTY...MOVING NORTHEAST. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL WAS MOVING TOWARD MECKLENBURG COUNTY FROM SOUTH CAROLINA. * STREAM GAGES INDICATED THAT WATER LEVELS WERE RISING IN SUGAR CREEK AND LITTLE SUGAR CREEK NEAR PINEVILLE. POOR DRAINAGE AREAS IN EASTERN CHARLOTTE WERE ALREADY EXPERIENCING PONDING OF WATER. WITH SATURATED GROUND...ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL RUNOFF INTO STREAMS AND LOW LYING AREAS.
