NORTH CENTRAL COCONINO COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL ARIZONA * UNTIL 530 AM MST * AT 350 AM MST...PARK OFFICIALS REPORTED FLASH FLOODING AT GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK. SOME OF THE AFFECTED TRAILS AND CREEKS INCLUDE BRIGHT ANGEL CREEK AND THE COTTONWOOD CAMPGROUND ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF THE INNER CANYON. NORTHERN ARIZONA FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FLAGSTAFF AZ 255 AM MST THU JUL 15 1999 SYNOPSIS...ABUNDANT MOISTURE WILL REMAIN OVER MUCH OF NORTHERN ARIZONA TODAY. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE AND FLASH FLOODING IS PROBABLE EARLY THIS MORNING ACROSS YAVAPAI COUNTY NORTH TO THE GRAND CANYON. WITH SOME CLEARING OCCURRING LATER TONIGHT...A SLOW DRYING TREND WILL BEGIN FRIDAY...AND A GENERAL DECREASE IN THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY WILL OCCUR THROUGH THE WEEKEND. DISCUSSION...LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS MOVING THROUGH NWRN AZ THE MOST IMPRESSIVE FEATURE SO FAR THIS MORNING.
