THE RISK AREA INCLUDES ATLANTA AND ATHENS. SURFACE WINDS CONVERGE ALONG A LINE FROM WEST OF ATLANTA...THROUGH ATLANTA...TO THE AUGUSTA AREA. THE CONVERGENCE WILL CAUSE AIR NEAR THE SURFACE TO RISE. ALSO...A COLD AIR MASS APPROACHING NORTH GEORGIA FROM THE TENNESSEE VALLEY WILL INCREASE THE RISING MOTION THROUGH A DEEP LAYER OF THE ATMOSPHERE.
