DISPATCHERS...PLEASE NOTIFY YOUR EMERGENCY MANAGERS IMMEDIATELY.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY IN SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN THIS AFTERNOON...
ESPECIALLY NEAR AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 69. SEVERAL OF THESE STORMS
COULD BECOME SEVERE. SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL PROBABLY BE NEEDED THIS
AFTERNOON.

A HOT AND HUMID AIRMASS WILL REMAIN ACROSS SOUTHEAST LOWER MICHIGAN
THIS AFTERNOON. THE ATMOSPHERE WILL BE EXTREMELY UNSTABLE...AND
THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT IS EXPECTED AS A RESULT. ALTHOUGH
THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ANYWHERE IN SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN...THE BEST
CHANCE FOR STORMS WILL BE NEAR AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 69...WHERE
THE ATMOSPHERE IS MOST UNSTABLE. THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT COULD
OCCUR AT ANY TIME THIS AFTERNOON.

ANY THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP COULD BECOME SEVERE. THE GREATEST
THREAT WILL BE FROM DAMAGING WINDS...WITH GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE.
HAIL UP TO ONE INCH IN DIAMETER IS ALSO POSSIBLE. IN
ADDITION...EXTREMELY HEAVY RAINFALL AND ALMOST CONTINUOUS LIGHTNING
IS POSSIBLE WITH ANY THUNDERSTORM TODAY.
