DEEP SOUTH TEXAS FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BROWNSVILLE TX 215 PM CST THU FEB 11 1999 THE PACIFIC COLD FRONT IS CURRENTLY FROM STARR COUNTY IN DEEP SOUTH TEXAS TO NEAR ALICE TEXAS. THIS FRONT IS MOVING RAPIDLY TO SOUTHEAST ABOUT 40 TO 45 MPH. WOULD EXPECT FRONT TO MOVE THROUGH THE ENTIRE VALLEY BY THIS EVENING. ALL PROGS SEEM TO BE IN AGREEMENT TODAY IN HAVING A VERY STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENT BEHIND THIS SYSTEM. VERY STRONG WINDS FROM THE NORTHWEST WILL PREVAIL THROUGH FRIDAY. A WIND ADVISORY WILL AGAIN BE ISSUED LATER THIS AFTERNOON. VERY DRY AND STABLE AIR WILL BE FORECASTED IN THE WAKE OF THE FRONT TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY.
