999 WUUS1 KABQ 220148 RRA SVRABQ NMC005-220245- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBUQUERQUE NM 747 PM MDT FRI MAY 21 1999 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A * SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR... CHAVES COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO * UNTIL 845 PM MDT AT 740 PM MDT RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ROSWELL TO 15 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ROSWELL. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH. THESE STORMS WILL BE AFFECTING THE ROSWELL AREA AND TRAVELERS ON U.S. HIGHWAY 380 BY AROUND 8 PM. HEAVY RAIN FROM A THUNDERSTORM CAN PRODUCE SUDDEN AND DANGEROUS FLOODING IN ARROYOS...DITCHES AND OVER LOW WATER CROSSINGS. DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLOODED ROADS OR WADE INTO FLOODED DITCHES.
