SURFACE TEMPERATURES ABOVE 100 ALONG WITH DEWPOINTS OF 65 TO 75 HAVE RESULTED IN THUNDERSTORMS BREAKING THE CAP IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. SIMILAR TO LAST NIGHT...THE STORMS ARE BEING DRIVEN BY THE EXTREME HEAT AND MOISTURE CONVERGENCE AT THE DRYLINE. MEANING THAT INDIVIDUAL STORMS MAY WEAKEN AS THEY MOVE AWAY FROM THE DRYLINE. HOWEVER OKLAHOMA MESONET DATA SHOW AN AXIS OF EXTREME INSTABILITY EXTENDING FROM THE JUST SOUTH OF ENID INTO OSAGE AND PAWNEE COUNTIES. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MAY BE ABLE TO SURVIVE TO REACH PARTS OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA AS THEY MOVE THROUGH THIS ZONE OF HIGH CONVECTIVE ENERGY. WIND PROFILES ALOFT SHOW SUFFICIENT TURNING WITH HEIGHT TO SUPPORT SUPERCELL STORMS...ALTHOUGH SLOWER WIND SPEEDS ALOFT SUGGEST HEAVY PRECIPITATION TYPE STORMS WITH EXTREMELY LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS LIKELY. THE THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER WILL BEGIN TO INCREASE IN OSAGE AND PAWNEE COUNTIES AFTER 8PM.
