SOUTHERN LE FLORE COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA * UNTIL 830 PM CDT * AT 742 PM... DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM TALIHINA TO WHITESBORO TO 5 MILES EAST OF HONOBIA. DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO NEAR 65 MPH WILL OCCUR WITH MANY OF THESE STORMS AS THEY MOVE NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH. * THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS ARE NEAR THE PATH OF THESE STORMS... FPUS3 KTUL 102055 AFDTUL EASTERN OKLAHOMA/NORTHWEST ARKANSAS FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 350 PM CDT WED JUN 10 1998 SAME OLD TUNE THIS FORECAST. FLOW ALOFT TO REMAIN SOUTHWEST... ATMOSPHERE TO REMAIN UNSTABLE...CAP NOT TOO STRONG AND DRY LINE TO REMAIN IN THE PANHANDLES. TODAYS VARIATION HAS A CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS THAT FORMED IN WEST CENTRAL TEXAS EXPANDING NORTHEAST TOWARD SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS. THUS...WILL GO HIGHEST POPS THERE. MORE STORMS ARE STARTING TO GET GOING ALONG DRY LINE IN NORTHWEST TEXAS AND MAY MOVE OVER SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS AS WELL. EVENING SHIFT MAY HAVE TO CONSIDER A FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR THESE AREAS BUT DO NOT FEEL STRONG ENOUGH ABOUT IT NOW TO DO SO YET. WILL CARRY DECENT POPS NORTH OF MAIN AREA AS OTHER STORMS MAY GET GOING ALONG THE DRY LINE AND SPREAD NORTHEAST. WILL GO LIKELY POPS EVERYWHERE TOMORROW AS SHORTWAVE WHICH CAUSED THUNDERSTORMS IN NORTHWEST MEXICO THIS MORNING IS PROGGED BY BOTH THE ETA AND NGM TO MOVE NORTHEAST TOWARD THE AREA. TIMING BETWEEN THE MODELS IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT WITH THE NGM THE QUICKEST AND THE ETA THE SLOWEST. WILL ACCOUNT FOR THE SLOWER ETA BY CARRYING HIGHER POPS IN THE EAST TOMORROW NIGHT. MORE SIGNIFICANT SYSTEM MAY BRUSH THE AREA SATURDAY AS IT MOVES ACROSS THE CENTRAL PLAINS SATURDAY AND INTO THE GREAT LAKES SUNDAY.
