A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE STILL POSSIBLE ACROSS EASTERN
OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

A STRONG UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM OVER NEBRASKA WILL MOVE NORTHEAST THIS
AFTERNOON WHILE SURFACE LOW PRESSURE MOVES OUT OF COLORADO. THE
SURFACE LOW PRESSURE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR STRONG SOUTH WINDS
ACROSS THE PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON.

AT MIDDAY A DRY LINE WAS LOCATED OVER CENTRAL OKLAHOMA ALONG
INTERSTATE 35. THE DRY LINE WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE SLOWLY EAST
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. DEW POINTS WERE IN THE MID 50S AS FAR NORTH
AS THE KANSAS BORDER...WITH UPPER 50S AND LOWER 60S OVER NORTH
TEXAS. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS SOUTH
CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA BY MID AFTERNOON...WHEN AN UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVES OVER THE AREA.

AT THIS TIME IT APPEARS THE BEST COMBINATION OF DEEPER LOW LEVEL
MOISTURE...MORE FAVORABLE WIND PROFILES AND INSTABILITY WILL BE
FOUND ACROSS SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...SOUTH OF A MCALESTER TO FORT SMITH
LINE. HOWEVER ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS COULD OCCUR ANYWHERE OVER
EASTERN OKLAHOMA THIS AFTERNOON...AND ACROSS NORTHWEST ARKANSAS
TOWARD EVENING. ANY STORMS THAT DEVELOP WILL MOVE RAPIDLY NORTHEAST.

THE MAIN THREAT FROM THE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND
NORTHWEST ARKANSAS WILL BE LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. HOWEVER
...WIND PROFILES SUGGEST THE MOST FAVORABLE LOCATION FOR ROTATING
STORMS WOULD BE OVER SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCIES AND STORM SPOTTER GROUPS SHOULD BE 6
PREPARED FOR ACTIVATION FROM MID AFTERNOON INTO THE EARLY EVENING.
